Movement is about more than exercise—it’s about feeling more comfortable in your body, improving balance, reducing stress, and rediscovering the joy of movement, especially if recovering from injury.

Using one or more movement approaches—including Essentrics®, Tai Chi Balance Principles, Eight Treasures™ QiGong, and occasionally Aroma Movement—I create movement experiences that support your body, your lifestyle, and your wellness journey.

At Suuz Moves, every class combines purposeful movement, thoughtfully curated music, and a welcoming atmosphere where participants are encouraged to move at their own pace. Whether you’re brand new to movement or have years of experience, classes are designed to help you feel successful while improving flexibility, balance, posture, strength, and confidence.

Small class sizes allow for personal attention while creating a supportive community where everyone is encouraged to move, learn, laugh, and enjoy the journey together.

What You’ll Learn

More than simply following movements, you’ll learn to better understand your body.

We work barefoot to work the feet.

Through gentle cueing and body awareness, you’ll begin to recognize how using your arms and legs as long and short levers engages entire muscle chains, helping create length, strength, balance, and proprioception.

As your awareness grows, you may begin asking yourself:

• Where is my weight?

• Where am I holding tension?

• Is my alignment working for me?

• Can I move with greater ease?

One cue you’ll hear often is…

“Pull Up.”

It’s more than standing taller. It’s learning to move with length, lift, and ease while gently working with gravity instead of against it.

The Power of Music

Movement is only part of the experience.

Music has always been an important part of my teaching. I thoughtfully select playlists—from inspiring movie soundtracks to calming instrumental pieces—to complement the rhythm and intention of each session. Especially used for Essentrics as a large part of their instructor training baked into the comprehensive certification. Music is used to access the lengthening and contraction, the agonist/antagonist, the push and pull of how we move in all planes of motion.

For many students, the music becomes more than something to listen to. It helps anchor movement patterns, making routines easier to remember while creating an enjoyable, immersive experience.

My Qigong playlists help in remembering the movements, much like realizing you know what song is next, anchoring memory with movement. I am happy to share my Apple playlists with students to help them recall that feeling of flow and fluidity where music becomes a memory cue to enjoy music long after class.
