I am a creative practitioner in movement education as a certified instructor of Essentrics® L3 With Honors, Eight Treasures™ QiGong, Tai Chi for Arthritis, 200 hr Yoga RYT, AFAA Primary Group Fitness Instructor and a practitioner of the Trager® Approach. Through much personal change, I share the gifts of movement, spirit and music to fellow students.
I travel internationally through my apparel company and am a continual student. Latest studies are The Roll Model with Yoga Tune Up, ongoing Essentrics® and Trager® trainings, and anatomy.
Essentrics® Level 3 With Honors | 2016 March – Present
Developed by Miranda Esmonde-White, a full-body technique working through the muscle chains, liberating and empowering the muscles and relieving them from tension in the process. Simultaneously lengthens and strengthens every muscle in the body, resulting in greater joint mobility and lean, long muscles, Her completely original workout draws on the flowing movements of tai chi which create health and balance, the strengthening theories behind ballet which create long, lean, flexible muscles and the healing principles of physical therapy which create a pain free body.
Eight Treasures QiGong™ Level 3 Practitioner and Instructor | 1987- Present
A moving meditation from the Ni family, now in their 74th generation of Taoist masters, facilitates the internal movement of energy by stimulating acupuncture points and meridians, working gently bone, muscle, tendon and ligament. With names like “Moving the Mountain and Pouring out the Sea”, it is somewhat like a Yoga flow with a story. Suuz is one of only 42 teachers worldwide certified by the family to teach this form. Stimulating and relaxing, an asset for Type A’s, and all levels and ages. Currently teach at Suuz Moves, Keith Family YMCA, Dowd YMCA and international events as featured instructor.
Tai Chi for Arthritis/Health, Dr. Paul Lam | 2014 – Present
A very beneficial practice for all ages and levels teaching principles of weight shift, stepping and balance. Currently teach at Keith Family YMCA, Dowd YMCA and Suuz Moves.
200 Hour RYT Yoga Alliance Instructor | 2015 February – Present
From a Gentle Flow to Power Yoga and meditation techniques, I’ve also developed hybrid classes that incorporate QiGong and yoga (YogaQi) for more flow into the postures.
AFAA Primary Group Exercise Instructor | 2014 March – Present
Development of specialized classes for general and special needs populations utilizing my movement education experience and background.
